Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu. is a 2014 manga written and illustrated by Hashigo Sakurabi. It has been adapted into a thirteen episode anime that began airing in October 2018. A movie titled Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu. Movie: Spain-hen was released in 2021. Multiple Drama CD's have been released with each one covering their respective volumes.

Takato finds that his status as No.1 most huggable man has been taken by Junta. Not only that but they are acting in the same movie, but Takato does not just like Takato's acting skills.

Having been an actor since a child, Takato is accustomed to the limelight and with his feature films he was been voted as the No.1 most huggable man for five years in a row. Whilst he is professional and friendly with other actors when interacting with them in person, he oftentimes considers whether they are rivals to his acting position, keenly aware of the merciless nature of the industry. When something unexpected occurs he inwardly bristles with indignation or appears bewildered before resuming his polite displays. Maintaining this behavior also means he rarely shares his inner thoughts with others and he often over analyses matters. Him eating cake can be an indication that something is wrong.

Junta Azumaya[]

Having planned to take Takatos's place and succeeding at it, Junta has both a fascination with, and a deeply rooted desire to be with Takato. His possessiveness leads to him taking Takoto home rather than his manager, and he shows jealousy when he believes other people are getting close to him. Like Takato, he is an accomplished actor both on stage and off with other work colleagues around him. Junta is cordial with others and uses this to his advantage to get what he is after. Often thanking people for their hard work is in keeping with his acting awed mannerisms. His happy side is just as honed as his ambition.

Takato's manager who drives and assists him with other duties. He advises Takato to not worry too much about rankings and lists and provides other support.

Story Introduction[]
Takato is sat outside listening as a couple discuss his five-year record as most huggable man as he is featured in a magazine. He contemplates the survival of the fittest nature of acting and how it is necessary to drive off competitors, resulting in him reaching the pinnacle where he benefits from awards and further acting roles.
In the car with his manager, Takumi Sasaki, Takato heads into a convenience store to get something sweet and checking a magazine, discovers a new ranking list where he is in second place. Astonished, and then angered, he checks to see that Junta Azumaya has taken his place. At a script reading, Takato emanates dark thoughts at the new situation, even more so when he learns that he is to act with Junta in a new film.
